Rob is a successful entrepreneur and experienced leader of fast moving organizations. His career has migrated over 20 years between pre-revenue startups, rapidly growing young companies, and divisions of corporations. In each situation, Rob led teams that were able to find success in the chaos of growth and change.
Prior to joining Spur, Rob was CEO of ISONAS, a technology business in the access control space. Under his leadership the business built an amazing team, new hardware, and new software. ISONAS was successfully sold to Allegion Plc in July 2018 with investors seeing healthy returns and employees, specifically the leadership team, seeing strong incentive and opportunity for growth within the new organization.
Prior to ISONAS, Rob was Corporate Director and SVP of Sales at Shimano where he led sales growth from $52m to $97m. Rob also founded Market Link USA and developed a proprietary line of flat panel TV wall mounts. The company realized sales of $2.0m in 2005 and $16m in 2006 resulting in the sale of the company to the primary manufacturer.
In December of 2020, Rob and Spur acquired Piranha Brands. Rob currently serves as CEO and is a member of the Board of Directors.
I operate best in the hurricane of growth and change that comes with a scaling organization. I love when a business needs to lean hard on the entrepreneurial culture that got it to where it is today, and add the building blocks of the company it is capable of becoming.
